New Kids on the Block – kurz NKOTB oder New Kids genannt – sind eine 1984 gegründete US-amerikanische Popgruppe aus Boston, Massachusetts, die Ende der 1980er und Anfang der 1990er Jahre international als Pop-Phänomen gefeiert wurde und zu den höchstbezahlten Entertainern der Welt zählte. Zur damaligen Zeit als Teenieband bezeichnet, gelten sie heute als der Prototyp der erfolgreichen Boygroups und waren Vorbild für nachfolgende Formationen der 1990er Jahre wie Take That, Caught in the Act, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC und Boyzone. 1994 trennte sich die Gruppe, seit 2008 ist sie wieder im Musikgeschäft aktiv. New Kids on the Block verkauften weltweit über 80 Millionen Tonträger und halten bis heute den Rekord im Verkauf von Merchandisingartikeln mit einem Jahresumsatz von einer Milliarde Dollar.
